The Manufacturers Marketplace (the “Marketplace”) is designed to allow companies to post and search postings about manufacturing companies, their facilities, equipment, processes, and certifications. The Marketplace may collect and store information from users, including: (1) your IP (Internet Protocol) address; (2) information voluntarily submitted to the site, and (3) cookies if you allow them.
Your IP address often does not identify an individual, but rather is only a temporary identification by which an individual obtains access to the Marketplace. The Marketplace may retain your IP address and browsing and other information to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Marketplace.
We use analytics to determine the frequency of visits to various functionality or content of the Marketplace and to better prepare future site content based on the interests of users. We track individual queries, execution times and search results. We may use third party services such as Google Analytics to collect, monitor and analyze information in order to increase the Marketplace’s functionality. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.
Information voluntarily disclosed to the Marketplace either online or in written materials such as order forms, survey response forms, service enrollment forms and e-mail is added to the relevant Marketplace database to enable registration, participation or for appropriate response. This information includes such data as name, company, address, contact information, user preferences, business codes, products, facilities, capacities, certifications, search terms, details of user activity on the site, and other information.
The Marketplace may use this information to verify your identity, eligibility, manage your account, provide customer service, perform research or statistical analysis, and distribute further relevant information to individuals identified in this way. On occasion, we may contract with third parties for marketing or other activities related to the Marketplace‘s goals and objectives, and allow them to use selected user information under strict confidentiality agreements. You may opt out of receiving any of these communications (with the exception of billing, legal, and account notifications) by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.
When necessary we may also disclose your information to our professional advisers, law enforcement agencies, insurers, government agencies and other organizations as required by law, regulations and guidelines or with respect to any investigations, claims or potential claims brought against the Marketplace, or to protect the security or integrity of the Marketplace.
Individuals who would like to “opt out” of receiving additional communications from the Marketplace should contact the Marketplace Administrator to have their names removed from specified lists. Corrections or other changes may also by made by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Manufacturers Marketplace endeavors to take appropriate measures to assure the reliability of user information and to protect it from loss, misuse or alteration. Access to user information on the site is limited to users who have registered and qualify for participation in the Marketplace. Access is occasionally granted on a temporary basis for promotional and informational purposes. The Marketplace will make every effort to maintain the confidentiality of confidential information such as usernames and passwords, recognizing that no data transmission over the internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
Your information, including personal information, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
Only persons age 18 or older have permission to access the Marketplace. The Marketplace does not address anyone under the age of 13 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from Children. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your Children have provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from Children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
